But it's very suspicious of a textbook to not include this accessibility feature. Second, and much worse, the book does not include answers to half of the practice problems.
What good is it to have questions that we don't know the answer for? This is a terrible study guide and it just goes to show how distorted the academy has gotten. It's not about learning any more, it's about making money.
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase. Any college student will tell you that anytime a professor assigns a hardback textbook, they look for the paperback version to save money. This is clearly not the case here. Some problems are the same, but many are different, which causes problems for obvious reasons when trying to do homework. As I said, though, the book itself is very good.
It explains concepts well and gives examples, even giving sometimes a bit confusing instructions on how to calculate and graph things in Excel. It sometimes doesn't quite explain why things are important, but that's okay. Format: Hardcover Verified Purchase. I mean I can still read it but it just looks old. The pages were in tact but they were water damaged and wrinkled at the edges.
I would've given this 4 stars but the class was annoying so I had to take a star way. It really improved my grade on the second test when I read the chapters along with the lectures. So yes! If you need this for a class, as I'd assume most people buying this book do, keep that in mind. The paperback is a "global edition" while the hardcover isn't. This is the first time ever I am rating a text book 5 starts. It is well written, easy to understand, with relatively short chapters, basically everything I wished I had in every text book I have used.
